Youth of Today, City of Tomorrow

“Putting the Future of Cities in young People’s Hands” Through the series of Western Economic Diversification (WD) supported papers on World Urban Forum themes, UNA-Canada’s project mandate is to raise awareness of and community participation in WUF III while fostering a legacy of understanding and engagement of young western Canadians in human settlement issues. UNA-Canada will be hosting a model UN-HABITAT Assembly in which a selected Vancouver high school along with selected international students from the global south will debate on issues of urban sustainability and how they can take back their cities.

Youth of Today, City of Tomorrow will also be implementing both an educational curriculum and a series of youth engagement events in promoting urban sustainability and human settlement issues that affect the cities we live in.
